Chica Time!

This trimester we have few students, but the ones we have are awesome! Saturday was our first official chica time together. In honor of the cold back home I served chili, cornbread and wassail! How's that to beat the winter blues! haha

We have a kinder at Cincel. This trimester we only have 2 babies! love them so much. Last week we had our first MK outing to McDonalds. It was like a field trip because we took their teacher too! God times together. They come and leave so fast around here. Their parents bring them and take them! thats the hard part of directing Cincel. We take advantage while they are with us!

The crazy things my honey does! We love our place of ministry. Cincel is an incredible place. Difficult for the new missionaries in first learning and experiencing Spanish and living within another culture, but oh so special for us who do not come and leave the next year. We love the environment and all it contains.

A while back Denny wanted a fish for his office. We have alot of missionary kids so maybe that was the motivation! After the holidays he went shopping! haha!

He brought the beta back to school in its plastic bag and immediately had a contest to name our new Cincel pet! haha!!

It was great fun! The name PACO won. Some very stiff competition I must say!

One of the beautiful art displays in Costa Rica.

This is an oxcart. When driving in the rural parts of this country you actually may see a farmer with his oxen and a beautifully decorated cart. Way back when this was how the coffee growers would transport their coffee to the city for market. The differences in the art and paintings on the cart would distinguish from where it came.

Today to satisfy the tourists one can find these beautifully painted replicas in all sizes. In the city of Sarchi one can get their picture taken in front of a huge cart, over-sized to the max situated right in the center of town.

Absolutely beautiful. Also in Sarchi one can watch the artists paint in this beautiful style. Simply beautiful.
