Each trimester we do some fun things with the missionary kids that live at Cincel. One of the traditions within the first month they are here is McDonald's and the arcade. Our treat. I think they really like being in the mall, some for the first time in Costa Rica. A nice thing, the parents enjoy an afternoon.... childless! We encourage them to go have a leisurely meal after their classes.
We have five children with us now and are they another precious bunch! Missionary kids are unique in that they usually think quickly on their feet, so they have a sense of humor! They are usually very kind and grateful, since they travel with their parents to churches and have to learn to interact with adults. It seems like our kiddos say thank you alot. I like that! They are warm and fuzzy usually! Missionary kids, it seems, like to be around new people! They are quick to grab on to their new aunts and uncles here on campus. Missionary kids live with a broad view of life, the lost, the Gospel, and can "read" people really well.
