Our little garden in our little backyard
Denny loves his yard! He has planted hundreds of meters of sod. Through the years he has planted roses, a little garden and beautiful bushes. I love it! I think he is a rose-whisperer! He speaks to them each morning before work and visits them in the evening.
We have given away so many cukes and peppers. It's wonderful. I can't wait to see what he plants next.
Our orchid garden is beautiful. Those are mine!

Time flies!
My mom always told me when I was a child that the older you get the more time flies. I didn't understand her then and I don't understand it now! I am older, I should be wiser! We have 24 hours in a day, that hasn't changed. We do not arbitrarily adjust our clock. Why does it seem that time flies now more than when I was a child? A mystery still!
When I reflect back on the months in 2016 that have passed I am just dumbfounded. Didn't Renée just graduate from the university yesterday, although it was April! Didn't we just celebrate Easter? Where did the summer months go!!
Today we find ourselves beginning a new trimester. The new missionary students arrived last week and started classes today. Hopefully they will adjust and settle in quickly. Some are here at Cincel for 4 months, others 8 months and 2 families are here for one year. It seems like it flies! They arrrive and before we know it they are graduating and going on to their country of service. We are delighted to be a small part of their journey. How good God is.
Someone said to us this week, Cincel should be the easiest place to live. We are missionaries, we are Christians. What they forgot to put into the equation is this. Cincel exists to train people in a new language how to reach others with the Gospel. That becomes a place that the enemy hates. Does he want the Gospel to be communicated in the Latin World? No way. So we carry on. Trying with all HIS might to be victorious in everything we do at Cincel. It is a spiritual fight. But we know who actually is fighting this war! Not us. It is the power of God in us to overcome all that the enemy would throw into the mix to disrupt HIS plan in missionaries lives. How Good is our God!
