Learning all I can about Costa Rica presidential elections

I am so interested in learning how the Costa Ricans conduct their elections, that on Saturday I found myself in one of the "propaganda" offices for one of the country's parties. I interviewed the lady running the PAC office and learned some more facts about Candidate Solis.
It has been so interesting to learn all I can since elections are every four years, I am taking advantage of being here at this time.

CINCEL's new little blessing is on the way!

Mike and Polly are beautiful new students in CINCEL. They are missionary associates assigned to Costa Rica after their language and culture learning. They have been at CINCEL for a month and a half. They have a 3 year old daughter who is beautiful and another little one on the way. On Friday the teachers hosted a baby shower for Polly and it was so wonderful. The staff asked one of the students, Angela to decorate and she did a fantastic job! I love the students assigned to CINCEL, the hardest part is letting them go! Angela will be hard to let go! One of the teachers gave a devotional, one of the students chose the games, one was really silly. She had a picture of their little daughter and we had to take Mikes eyes, ears, teeth and Pollys eyes or ears or teeth and make a picture of the new baby. Oh my! You will see an example of one of the pics below! The circus theme was really terrific and the all the dishes to pass were wonderful! A great afternoon shower!

wonderful missionary memories!

It is very important for our missionary kids to feel loved and cared for while their parents are students in CINCEL. Each month we try to do something fun with them. We are surrogate family. They live within a country that they don't know. So many times they don't understand the culture, the language and even the looks toward them from the nationals.

We try to find fun things for them to do, maybe even something from home! That's what happened this week! We found a gocart place and fun was the operative word! It was great! We took 4 teenagers then asked the BIG kids if they wanted to go too!

Chica~Chica Time!

What a great name! the daughters of the lady students. Each month I host a chica~time, this time we hosted the chicas of the chicas. Such fun with a sleepover that was full of energy!

Frankie, Gianna, and Brooklyn are girls that are already friends as they go to the same school. Alayna is a CINCEL student and will return to her home church in Georgia to work more fluently with the Spanish church. She is a wonderful cook so she came to share that gift, then she gave the devotional and sharing time on Friday night. She is closer to the girls age, they just love her so I knew she would do a great job!

So blessed each trimestre to have precious people here at CINCEL and the missionary kids are just extra blessings in our lives!
