Volcano Irazu

It is so wild to live so close to a volcano. Volcano Poas is an hour away but Irazu is quite close to where we live.

Yesterday the sky was so blue, not a cloud in the sky that we decided to go for a ride. What a beautiful day we had. It was so fun to spend time with Denn and not have to rush for anything. Usually when we go to a volcano we go early in the morning before the cloud cover. Yesterday we were there at 1 in the afternoon and it was still clear.

Irazu last erupted in 1963, San Jose was affected with ash from it, it is still considered an active volcano.

The higher we climbed the more clouds appeared and it was chilly. It was so hot in the city, yet closer to the volcano required a jacket.

We were walking back to the car and a raccoon decided to join us!

Found this huge clump of poor mans umbrellas!
