Missionary Comings and Goings!

AG missionaries typically serve on the field for 4 years, then return to the US for one year to itinerate. The itineration cycle is in place for missionary families because over a 4 year term one will lose financial support for various reasons. Another reason to itinerate, not just for financial gain, but one requests prayer support. This is crucial. As I type those words, I think to myself, what if our prayer supporters had grown cold. Would the outcome have been the same after the armed robbery attack? We are grateful for praying saints, that is for sure.
Our last itineration cycle was 2002. We are desperate for a year to raise financial support along with making known our requests to the church. However, over the years our missionary journey seems to be one of stepping out in faith and going without the required amount of resources. It's just the way it has been for us. We are grateful for every open door that the Lord has led us through. He has proven to us that He can be trusted in this matter of finances. Since we came to the language school in 2013, our supervisor has told us that when we have invitations to preach missions in the states to do so that since we haven't had a year itineration, we can make up for the lack that way. We are so grateful for his generosity to us.
Usually in November we are able to spend a couple weeks in the states raising awareness and funds. Right now we are asking the churches to partner with us in bringing teams and finances to renovate the apartments. Our campus is in dire need of some paint and new appliances. We are trusting God to bring in all the resources and man power to get it down! We have no doubt that He alone will do it, along with our faithfulness in making our requests known.
