When we were asked to assume the role of director for CINCEL, we had to fore go our itineration cycle. The last time we did itineration was 2003. Our budgets reflect that! We have been on a walk of faith. But that's not such a bad place to live. We went to a faith school in the seventies so we have experience! I remember real well our instructors praying in the next meal for almost 300 students and staff. I remember Dr. Heroe praying for finances for the Zion Gospel Temple. It seems that our entire missions career has had to do with the finance faith walk. Now almost 36 years later we are still on that path. Oh how I wish it could change. When we were first married and left our fathers and mothers in Pennsylvania, we experienced alot of financial need as newlyweds. We prayed, He answered and even used our landlord to provide so many times. The stories we could tell. God has never left us as orphans but every time has provided, never early I must add!
When we came to CINCEL we came budget short. We took a step of faith and our boss told us that we had his permission to come to the states to itinerate in bite size time frames. So we planned a trip around our time to be in Springfield for new missionary orientation and all they need to know to prepare to come to CINCEL. We drove over 4000 miles from Philadelphia to Springfield. We had services, coffees with pastors and meetings in offices to try to build support. We had a wonderful 19 days and even got to see Ryan, Lauren and Renee besides! God is so good.
