Every four months we spend a day at the San Jose airport. The new missionary students come in at different times. We and a van driver go and come, go and come. It truly is so much fun. We watch the families or couples/singles arrive with all their bags to settle into their new life on the field. They are exhausted from the crazy travel day. Yet they are so excited to finally arrive after working so hard in raising their funds, saying goodbye to friends and family members. Needless to stay they come emotionally exhausted including the fact that many of them leave home basically in the middle of the night to arrive at the airport 2 hours before boarding time.
Our arrival coaches (the previous trimestre students) remain at Cincel to welcome the new families. They prepare a basket of food. The prepare their first dinner. They prepare the lunches for the new Missionary Kids to take to school the first day and carry lugguge and carry more luggage, up lots of stairs, through gates, and help to settle them in as much as they can. It is an exciting time.
Yesterday 5 new students arrived. Briana was our helper at the airport! She wanted to welcome another missionary kid that is her friend. It was great fun!
So a new season begins and by the looks of it, it's going to be another great one!
