Our precious Missionary Kids at Cincel are really troopers. They have just said goodbye to cousins and grama, they come to a small campus with very few amenities, well actually all they have is a small town park next door, not even a basketball hoop! They leave in a very small apartment and listen to their parents struggle to learn Spanish! That's it in a nutshell. They go to school and they too have to learn Spanish! much quicker than their parents usually! They are in a new environment, new school and new food. Many of our missionaries are struggling with budget issues, so it can be a very volatile environment.
Denny and I try our best to be a boost and joy to them. Once a trimester we take them to McDonald's and an arcade that is at the mall. Always fun, no tears! Always lots of little goodies and a Happy Meal toy! This time it was Minions. such fun!
Speaking of Minions, one of our little guys redeemed his tokens for a Minion bubble bottle and he inadvertently left it in the taxi when they got back to campus. Oh how horrible I felt, I nearly took myself back there to see if I could play enough games to get enough tokens to get him another. All in the life of an MK!
