a new cultural experience to enjoy!

The baby shower was held in an event hall. Decorated to the hilt in an oceanic theme. Little Felipe is already so loved and he isn't supposed to arrive until October 20. We love his parents. His daddy is a gorgeous singer/worship leader in the church and his mommy is talented in many areas. They both are very hard workers. Daddy works for a famous soda company! and mommy works for a customs company.

We received our invitation and paid the cost to go.  We had a little time after church before the shower. When we arrived it was so pretty and festive, we knew it was going to be fun. Then the clown arrived! He was great! He was the emcee, the entertainment, brought lots of laughs to us! At 3:30 we had a cafecito, cookies, churros and little shredded chicken sandwich. At 5:30 we had a lovely meal with pork, rice and vegetables, and cheesecake. After the couple opened their gifts the anchor cake was served. Just so lovely. On the way out the door we were given cotton candy! How fun is that!

I love new experiences here. They happen quite often! Not on a grand scale but when you live and work in a new culture, crazy new experiences can happen daily!
