October 10-31, Such a beautiful time to be home. Two years ago we were scheduled for the 2013 Southern New England Fall Missions Tour. When our assignment changed this year, we were able to keep our plans, however abbreviated. We spent three weeks in New England with services scheduled, pastor lunches, a sectional meeting, all to try to raise awareness to bring mission teams to Cincel and to raise our support. What a great time we had! One of the highlights was speaking at a Men's and Women's Breakfast in the middle of a Missions Convention Week! What fun we had. Our services were marked with His presence and we are so grateful. Denn had such an incredible financial miracle story happen in March of this year that He promised God that from here on in he would brag on the one who did it! And that is what he has been doing ever since. Bragging On God! what a place to live.
Then there is another part to the story. When Ryan and Lauren became engaged they began to plan a fall wedding. We didn't interfere by telling them our plans to be in New England in October. We wanted them to be free to set their own date. We certainly don't want to impose our schedule on our kids however I have to admit, we prayed about it once or twice!!
When they chose October 25 for their wedding, we were ecstatic! We knew how difficult it would be to plan another trip home financially and schedule wise. So we say again, God is always working, He is always aware of what we have need of. He is so good. The wedding was in every way remarkable. We are so happy for them and for the memories we have of that week! We actually ministered in the town in which Ryan and Lauren live the Sunday after the Friday night wedding. How cool is that! In our weariness we didn't have to travel hours to get to our last service! Not our last pastor meeting, but our last Sunday morning service.
